Why you should try @Trunkclub.

Men, have you tried Trunkclub yet? Need new clothes? Highly recommended.

Great customer experiences deserve to be shared. I found out about Trunkclub from Darren, and since I needed new clothes with the kind of style I wouldn’t find on my own without a lot of time dedicated to trying new stores, I decided to try Trunkclub myself, especially after reading more about them on Techcrunch and other sites.

Note: It’s for men-only right now.

Loved the experience. It’s pretty simple: fill out your details on the website, talk to a personal stylist (ask for Teresa), and they send you a box of 8-10 items to fit your needs. Try on the clothes, keep what you want, send back the rest; shipping is free both ways, so you pay nothing for shipping if the items picked for you don’t work out. And the clothes are great: stylish, up-to-date, fashionable, very good brand names. Expensive, but same price you’d pay in the retail store. And overall, worth it, at least for me.

A trunk of new clothes.

Another trunk of new clothes.

Combined with companies like Birchbox and Rent the Runway, one has to love the way e-commerce startups are tackling age-old industries with updated ways to solve discovery and trial. Coupled with the fashion and shopping community sites like Fashism and Svpply, creating new data sets around product preferences, a rich area for affiliate, referral and advertising-based businesses, and it’s a great world for e-commerce in old industries.

Love reading about how Washington Square Park has changed over the years. Such a history to enjoy and embrace every time I walk through the park.
