David duChemin’s “VisonMongers”, from me to you.

A couple months ago I reviewed David duChemin’s book VisionMongers: Making a Life and a Living in Photography. Since I prefer to share books rather than keep them, I’m going to mail this book to one person. Tell me why you want and I’ll choose one lucky person.

VisionMongers: Making a Life and a Living in Photography by David duChemin

I’ve loved David duChemin’s (@pixelatedimage) photography, vision and voice for a number of years. Last May in reviewed his book “Within The Frame”, and last month I reviewed his latest book “VisionMongers: Making a Life and a Living in Photography”.

I loved both books (check out my reviews for “Within The Frame” and “VisionMongers”), and although I’ve already given away “Within The Frame”, I’d like to share David’s VisionMongers with one person.

Leave a comment on this post, telling me why you’d like to have his book. I’ll pick my favorite response and I’ll mail it to you.* Cool?

* USA only, please :)

Note: I received a copy of this book from David duChemin. And now I’m passing on the love.

Announcing: Narratively is sponsoring @Launchfest, a “fun conference for serious entrepreneurs” in New Orleans, April 24-29, 2010

Launchfest

Announced on Narratively, @Narratively is sponsoring @Launchfest, a “fun conference for serious entrepreneurs” in New Orleans, April 24-29, 2010.

What’s Launchfest?

Launch Fest will feature three afternoons of conference programming and four evenings of fun networking events. The three days of programming kick-off with a social entrepreneurship day, followed by Startup Straight-Talk with local entrepreneurs, and Advantage Capital’s “Thursday Funday” featuring 5 minute pitches by local start-ups to national VC’s & local investors.

Launchfest will be held at Launch Pad, April 24-29 (between the two weekends of Jazz Fest, btw). Tickets are free, but space is limited. Registration starts at noon CST on Tuesday 4/20 at http://launchfest.net

Launchfest features a great mix of local and national speakers with a range of experiences in creating and leading companies and non-profits, and I’m excited about helping make Launchfest an inspiring, productive, educational and fun event.

Look for the official pictures from the event on Flickr and Facebook.
