I stopped to admire this view on my walk the other night.

A nearby woman, camera in hand, remarked that I had missed the best part, the rays of sun shining through the clouds. She flipped through a couple of shots on her screen to show me her images, to show me what I had missed.

Maybe I missed the best part.

But I liked what I saw.

It’s not a great photo; the exchange was only a snippet of the day. But it was what I needed to see and hear at that moment.

I was exactly where I needed to be.

How often can we say that?
