Getting Lost
Continuing with David duChemin‘s “Within The Frame”:

When seeing and capturing the spirit of a place, nothing can compete with wandering on foot and getting good and lost. Not momentarily lost, but completely and unfindably lost. Getting this kind of lost opens the door to serendipity and chance like nothing else, and has always, for me, resulted in some of my favorite images.

Getting Found
Friday is the last day I’ll consider new challenges; I’ve turned down a number of interesting ideas and am continuing to consider a few other opportunities; opening up my “lost life” to the power of serendipity has been an interesting experiment so far…

Love the quote by David. Walking through a city without any particular destination in mind does open a lot of doors, partly because you're not 'distracted' by needing/wanting to be somewhere else.

David couches it as “planned serendipity”; meaning, scout and plan a
bit to put yourself in the right area, then once you're there, wander
and explore, comfortable with the knowledge you've put yourself in a
situation to succeed as long as you're alive in the moment.
