A quick shout-out: from Thursday to Saturday (June 11, 12, 13) I’ll be at LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph, “3 days of Peace, Love and Photography” in Charlottesville, Virginia.

I enjoyed LOOK3 last year; the festival is a great opportunity to see a wide range of work and to hear some outstanding photographers discuss their work. Sylvia Plachy, Martin Parr and Gilles Peress headline the festival’s three nightly INsight artist talks, and Callie Shell, Simon Bruty, George Steinmetz, Eugene Richards, Yolanda Cuomo Design, Phillip Toledano and David Alan Harvey will participate in the daily Masters Talks.

I’m sure many conversations will stray towards the changing nature of the photography business, but sometimes it’s good to simply step back and celebrate good photography.
