I mean truly savoured.

When is the last time you did exactly what you wanted to do at that exact time, and enjoyed it completely?

How long did it take you to remember it? Until this morning, it had been awhile. A short fifteen minutes this morning, just after waking up, diving into a book that has been sitting next to my bed, neglected, waiting, calling for me to return from the flickering screen of the computer and the constant stream of information the Internet brings to my eyes every day.

The more I read on the Internet, the more I appreciate the power of a completed story, a completed narrative, the enriching power of the deep focus and engrossment that is difficult to achieve on the Internet.

I do not mean to glorify books or their kin in some sort of romantic appeal to the past, just to remind us that there is power in taking the time to completely, fully develop our ideas and apply our passion to a single goal, to something that endures, to something that touches other people.
