Every hour, on the hour, the halls are full. Room doors explode open, energy, thoughts, ideas, conversations and people filtering, rushing, surging into the halls.
People linger in the halls, extending conversations, stealing time from the next meeting, catching a moment to decompress,
The half-hour is a little less rushed, with only the brief catch-ups or conversations scheduled to end on the half-hour.
Why do we schedule time in hour or half-hour blocks? Does work or meetings really fit into these admittedly arbitrary units of time? Do we do this just to fit in with the rest of society?
The resemblance to high school is scary.
